Durability and Longevity
The lifespan of a hard hat can differ based on the specific conditions of each work site. Hard hats that endure more excellent wear and tear or are exposed to direct sunlight outdoors may require more frequent replacement. Daily inspections determine when to replace the hard hat shell, suspension, or the entire unit. Recommended replacement is determined by the service life of the hard hat (based on when it was put into use, not the manufacturing date). As a general guideline, we advise replacing hard hats every five years, regardless of their external appearance. However, this timeline may vary due to usage patterns and job site conditions.
