The 3M 2096 P100 nuisance level acid gas release filter is designed for use with 3M Respirators 5000 Series or 3M Cartridge 6000 Series with 3M Adapter 502, as well as 3M Facepieces 6000 Series or 3M Facepieces 7000 Series featuring bayonet filter holders. When properly fitted, it can be utilized in various applications such as welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal pouring, soldering, and exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, and MDA at concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces, or up to 50 times PEL with full facepieces. Full facepieces must undergo quantitative fit testing to claim an assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode. The filter also provides relief from nuisance-level acid gases that are below the PEL. Nuisance level refers to concentrations that do not exceed the OSHA PEL or other relevant government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower. This filter should not be used for respiratory protection against acid gases or in environments classified as immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH). Each bag contains two filters.
